Translation app support in vaccination against Covid

After the successful test of Care to Translate, Region Värmland has decided to directly procure the digital translation tool. A separate agreement has also been signed for the service to be launched as support in the vaccination against Covid-19.

The agreement is valid for one year and makes it possible for all clinics within the region that have a need to use the service. Care to Translate will also be a support in the communication between healthcare staff and patients in vaccinations against Covid-19. A separate part of the agreement includes that the service is to be used at Värmland's 12 vaccination centers, which also includes an assignment to train the staff in how to use the tool.

Care to Translate is one of the services included in DigitalWell Arena's "Project Test". The digital translation service has been tested by staff at the infection clinic at the Central Hospital in Karlstad, the Public Dental Service in Kristinehamn and the X-ray clinics in Arvika and Torsby. The test was very successful and the service was not least appreciated in many of the short meetings in healthcare where interpreters normally do not participate.

Mari Banck, development manager at Region Värmland, was the unifying force behind the test. She is now looking forward to the translation tool being put into operation:

    - I am grateful that I had the opportunity to be part of a very well-coordinated teamwork and was able to support Asylum and Refugee Health in the test of the translation tool, which is now useful for patients and businesses.
