A warm welcome to this year's first Compare lunch, about how together we can future-proof Värmland's organisations.
Effectively attracting, retaining and developing competence is a big topic that can easily feel overwhelming, especially for smaller organisations. What really appeals to young graduates at the beginning of their careers, when they choose an employer?
Every year implements Academic Work together with Edge Sifo a survey called the Young Professional Attraction Index, YPAI. This is to help employers understand students and graduates at the beginning of their careers.
At the first lunch of the year, we are visited by Julia Granström and Radin Golrokh from Academic Work. They present selected parts of YPAI 2019 as well as challenges connected to the supply of skills in the digital field. They continue to guide us through smart competence provision and we get to hear Marcus Bengtsson talk about how he became an IT consultant with the help of Academy, Academic Works' coding bootcamp.
OPEN WORKSHOP AGAIN
After lunch there is an opportunity to participate in a workshop, together with Compare and Academic Work. By coordinating the needs of several organizations, the possibility of implementing targeted efforts to supply skills in the region is strengthened. During this workshop, we look at the possibility of recruiting IT competence via a potential Academy boot camp in Värmland.
