-having courage, taking a stand and deciding is a step in the right direction to make things happen.
Days off during an Easter weekend and time to reflect on our common challenge within the DigitalWell Arena. Together, we will create value for the residents of Värmland, for business and the public sector. We will also put Värmland on the map as a competence and innovation node for future health services, the task is challenging to say the least.
During our joint working day with all partners within the DigitalWell Arena, we touched on the challenges of healthcare and welfare, now and in the future. We had a dialogue about the effort to strengthen people's opportunities to maintain health and develop new digital services that will interact with healthcare processes that strengthen our self-efficacy. We can make a difference. All the prerequisites exist in the region, in the DWA initiative (DigitalWell Arena) and with the expertise of all the partners involved. It's about deciding and starting to aim for the goals.
……and where do we start?
As process managers, we have the task of structuring, having an organization and driving the processes forward, as well as providing conditions for all partners to be involved. These are the major brushstrokes of the assignment.
But, that is not where it happens, not where we make a difference and that is value-creating for the future.
It is in meetings with each other as colleagues, the meeting with people in society and in the dialogue with patients that we capture needs and what is value-creating, based on that we can make a difference. The driving force is the will, the courage to also take it further. We are involved because we are driven by development.
We met in the region's DWA group during the week and began to go through our challenges and needs. Suddenly we ended up in a real dead end, where energy disappeared, courage dropped and doubt started to take a little too much air in the room. It was just then, that thing came to light again, that thing that is so important. - We are here because we want something, and we have the courage to try. It was right there and in the lack of oxygen, we came back.
- We are thinking something completely different!
Based on that, we began to see possibilities, ideas and "god forbid" even solutions hailed in the room about how it could be. How future encounters with healthcare could be identified based on today's and tomorrow's needs. How technology can be a bridge between independence and security based on the needs we have as individuals in the entire life process.
The most important thing was not the idea, it was the feeling, and the will to meet the challenges and needs of the future. To decide to do something. All of a sudden it turned around, the air came back and the heart and brain got the right oxygen saturation again. It is with heart and brain that we will create DWA and a little "open embrace" may also be needed.
The next day, a completely different healthcare professional called me, who had read about DigitalWell Arena and had an idea she would like to test if it would be possible to discuss it within DWA. Shortly afterwards, there was a question in the email from the city of Helsingborg, who are curious about possible collaboration with DWA in digital development based on their ongoing project. And so it continues.
That heady feeling of everyone's ambitions to want to make a difference together and develop the future in user-driven health and care spread through the body. The day ended with a film interview which will encourage young people to apply for the healthcare professions. It was easy to say that work in care and welfare is needed and is fantastic, today. Because it is in the meeting between people that development happens, regardless of whether it is to facilitate, create services, use technology, prevent and care. There you want to be involved and make a difference!
