For three days, DigitalWell Arena participated in Vitalis - the Nordic region's leading event on eHealth and the future of care and care. This time with a question on many people's lips: How can we quality-assure health apps?
In this year's edition of Vitalis, questions connected to health apps in particular had their own thematic track, in which, among others, the Medical Products Agency and the e-health authority participated.
Create security for health innovation
Marie Granander and Mari Banck lectured on how the DigitalWell Arena builds support for validation, testing and training that provides security and knowledge for digital health innovation.
- We are pressing ahead with this issue and working for a solution, and we notice that there is a lot of interest, says Marie Granander, project manager for DigitalWell Arena.
Mari Banck and Marie Granander were two of the lecturers on Vitali's track on health apps.
DigitalWell Arena stands together with several other actors in the starting pits to take a national initiative regarding quality assurance of health apps.
- It's been a bit of a straw that erodes the stone, just a few years ago I don't think they had ever put together a dedicated track around health apps at Vitalis. But the question of how all these apps can be evaluated keeps coming back, says Jonas Matthing.
Collected data is lost
Research has shown that only a small proportion of all health apps meet the requirements expected by the health system. It can pose a risk to users, the lack of standards also means that the value of the data collected will be extremely limited in the healthcare system.
Startups from the DigitalWell Incubator
With it to Vitalis, DigitalWell Arena also had partners from the public sector, including Arvika Näringslivscentrum and Karlstad municipality. In addition, a number of startups from the DigitalWell Incubator: Call Knut, MedNote, Zappy, Probits, DigitalTolk and TNT.
