In the latest episode of GovTech Sweden's web TV magazine, Liza-Maria Norlin meets Lina Svensberg and Ann-Sophie Gustafsson, who tell us more about DigitalWell Arena's aftermarket accelerator.
The program includes a deeper explanation of the ideas behind the concept. The starting point is that part of the huge sums spent on public procurement can become a driving force for the public sector and companies to jointly develop new, digital health services.
The program provides a thorough review of the very first procurement in the demand accelerator. Shortly, the municipality of Karlstad will present the company and the digital solution with which they will continue to work to increase the understanding of cognitive impairment in care.
During the journey, no less than seven companies have been procured and participated in the innovation process - which in many ways redraws the map for what public procurement can look like.
- It is a challenge to say that we don't just buy what you have in your basket, but we want to be involved in developing new services. It's a completely new way of approaching this challenge, and it also leads to new processes for procurement and innovation," says Ann-Sophie Gustafsson, development manager welfare technology and digitization in Karlstad municipality.
