Service Convention: This is how we shape the welfare services of the future

Collaboration, data and service design are examples of what Service Convention Sweden 2020 is about. The congress brings together the public sector, academia and business to focus on how we can solve important societal challenges with the help of new digital solutions, business models and ways of working.

This is the fifth edition of Service Convention Sweden. DigitalWell Arena are new co-organizers and look forward to this year's congress.

    - Gathering actors from the public sector, academia and business to collaborate on how we can create new digital health services is the core of our work and also a major focus during the conference. It goes without saying for us to be involved and stimulate innovation around our complex societal challenges, says Magnus Bårdén, managing director of DigitalWell Arena.

As a participant, you will, among other things, listen to: Mona Lindström, Buurtzorg Sweden, about what it's like to work in an organization without managers at all, Angela Yong, SMHI and DIGG about innovation platforms to promote open and data-driven innovation and Martin Güll, City of Helsingborgs, about the power of an entire city of potential intrapreneurs.

    - We live in a challenging and changing time where we constantly need to adapt and adjust - something that everyone has experienced during the current pandemic. The question is how we can find solutions together and help each other rethink and think anew? This is the starting point for this year's conference, says Per Kristensson, professor and director at CTF, Center for Service Research at Karlstad University.

    The user in focus

According to Per Hanning, development manager for digital transformation at Region Värmland, it is also about having the right starting point:

    - In order to be more successful in developing the welfare services of the future, one must start from the perspective of the user, i.e. the customer, the patient or the citizen.

Ann Otto Nemes, director of development, Karlstad municipality, believes that Service Convention 2020 contributes to making the cutting-edge research that exists in Karlstad visible.

    - Service research is a leading area for Karlstad and Karlstad University, and it feels important to be able to participate and contribute to putting Karlstad on the map within these issues in a national perspective.

Service Convention Sweden 2020 is arranged between 25 and 26 November and is a digital congress. Organizers are CTF, Compare, DigitalWell Arena, Region Värmland, Karlstad Municipality and Karlstad Congress Culture Centre.
