    Compare lunch: Interview with Vinnova's CEO

    Innovative power in Sweden and Värmland

    Welcome to the last Compare lunch of the year when we have a visit from Darja Isaksson, director general at the Swedish Innovation Authority Vinnova. Sweden ranks second in the world for innovation. In what way does business play an active role and why is innovation in the public sector crucial to the challenges we face?

    When the risks are great and the resultsn feels far away will Vinnova pay for clausenings on that new and the untestede for that strengthen Sweden's growthcompetitiveness and tackle the major societal challenges. Not least have the corona pandemic shed light on the fact that we are constantly faced with new challenges. Challenges as requires innovative solutions. Something the government places emphasis on by proposing to Vinnova next year, grants will be increased by 545 million crowns  in a budget that already includes three billions. 

    During this Compare lunch we meet Daria Isaksson, the woman who ssince 2018 have responsibility for to lead this gigantic experimental workshop. She has carried her own desire for experimentation with her since a young age, when she soldered circuit boards and programmed at home in Munksund.  Daria Isaksson is in addition member of the government's digitization council and founder of the digital agencies inUse and Ziggy Creative Colony.

We bring down the conversation at the regional level and discussr how, through innovation and cooperation, we can lift Värmland to become an even more attractive country and competitive region.
