The challenge
Today, more and more elderly people are requesting access to welfare technology in order to maintain their self-sufficiency and independence at home for longer. Today, they often feel that it is difficult to get individually tailored help and want to feel more involved in the decisions made regarding their aids.
How could a digital solution make welfare technology more accessible and thus create a safer existence for our elderly?

Case"More accessible welfare technology” is an innovation case that Region Dalarna runs within the DigitalWell project. After thorough work where we examined the needs of this target group, relatives and staff in the area, we are now ready to start looking at ideas for solutions to this challenge.
We do this in a workshop format where participants from companies, start-ups, the public sector, academia and civil society have the opportunity to collaborate and also network.
This unique combination of skills with many different perspectives opens up new thinking and exciting ideas that we hope can be taken forward after this workshop.
With respect to the current situation with Covid-19, we will only offer digital participation. You are of course welcome to participate regardless of where you are physically located.
No special prior knowledge is required for this workshop.
