    External expertise for small businesses must provide new medical technology products

    A call from Medtech 4Health makes it possible for micro and small businesses to apply for funding to hire external expertise. The purpose is to help companies come out with innovative medical technology products and to transfer skills that strengthen the company in the long term.

    The call's total budget is four million kroner. The application period opened on February 10 and an initial deadline is May 4. After that, there are two more application periods before the announcement closes on 29 October. Each company can apply for support of up to SEK 200,000, however, the level of support is limited to a maximum of 50 percent of the total project budget.

    The project may last for a maximum of one year and must work on developing an innovative medical technology idea that can radically improve the clinical outcome and/or make care or care more efficient.

    The competence enhancement must have a lasting effect in the company after the project has ended, such as the regulatory or clinical knowledge being strengthened.
