With 5G comes opportunities to create completely new innovative services. In the test environment, you can test ideas, services and technologies on your own or with the support of experts.
5G will impact our society by opening entirely new digital possibilities. The most important thing is perhaps not its high speeds, but that communication can take place with shorter response times and higher stability than we have previously seen with mobile technology. This allows completely new innovative services to be developed.
Collaboration for the future
To create conditions for development and research at the forefront, DigitalWell Arena and Karlstad University in collaboration with Telia and Karlstad Innovation Park have developed a test environment for 5G. The aim is to be able to offer companies, entrepreneurs, the public sector and researchers the opportunity to test new ideas, services and technologies with 5G. The test environment is also part of Health Innovation of Sweden (HIOS), an association of universities and innovation hubs.
In the test environment, you can test the 5G technology from several aspects, including performance, movement and handover. Unlike the public 5G network, you can also get exclusive access for controlled experiments, as well as various types of measurement data and research expertise. Of course, you can also borrow the environment for independent testing with your own equipment.
There is a spectrum of possibilities from independent testing with your own equipment to the loan of equipment or SIM cards and support from experts.
