On June 1, the DigitalWell Award gathered innovators, researchers and representatives from the public sector in Karlstad to celebrate outstanding digital health innovations.
16 strong candidates in the award's four categories advanced to the final. In total, 1,000 votes were received from the public, which was a new record. The candidates who received the most votes in each category - and thus were named winners and ambassadors of the DigitalWell Award 2023 were:
Category "Individual participation"
· Stjärnhuset's safety accommodation in Karlstad municipality.
Category "Innovative capacity through collaboration"
· Annika Carlson from Care Department 102 at Central Hospital in Karlstad.
Category "Data and digital technology"
· Martin Larsson from Habbie HealthTech, a company specialized in digital support for people in need of physical training.
Category "Service development and commercialization"
· Helene Strandqvist from MeWe&You, a company whose digital service supports women in menopause.
The services, products and development work of the winning entries span a wide field. What all the winners have in common is that they show how digital technology and collaboration enable positive change for the individual's health, and thereby for society.
Our development work at Stjärnhuset's Trygghetsboende strengthens the customer in using digital technology so that customers can preserve and strengthen their independence. It frees up time for staff to do meaningful activities with customers and contributes to less stress and an attractive workplace. Winning the award motivates us to continue working innovatively and person-centredly and test more welfare technology that customers and staff can benefit from, says Anne Holm from Stjärnhuset's Trygghetsboende in Karlstad.
