Purpose of the implementation phase
During the implementation phase, the planned test is carried out in a real environment. The plans are used as support for the work and the status is reported to the test project's steering group.
Plans, documentation and reporting
Project plan
The project plan helps all participants and stakeholders of the test to keep track of purpose, goals, time, activities and resources, as well as what is to be verified. Therefore, do not forget to reconcile the progress of the test with what has been decided in the project plan.
Communication plan
The communication plan is a support for the project manager to be able to reach out with relevant information to identified stakeholders during the test period.
Status report
With the status report, the project manager communicates the test's progress and reports the status at each steering group meeting. By sending out the status report in good time, the steering group can prepare and be a good support in the test. Keep in mind that the status reporting builds a story in both writing and images about how it looks in the business when the test is carried out. The story will contribute to a context where learning is strengthened between different activities and organizational boundaries. The report can also be forwarded to potential reference persons or other interested parties.
Documentation of key events
Key events can be both positive and negative. Together they contribute to the story by describing the test's progress and results. These events should be timed to make clear when they occurred, for example early or at the end.

Participants and roles
Meeting structure
Test group meeting
The test group has regular working meetings to be informed about the progress of the test and to ensure that the test and effect goals are reached. These meetings are held between steering group meetings.
Steering group meeting
Steering group meetings are used for decisions and anchoring. Make sure you have a plan for the execution of these strategic meetings. It is important to have clarity, participation and a neutral meeting management. If it's a short test, it helps to have a structure:
Examples of arrangements for steering group meetings and decision points:
- Steering group meeting 1 – Decision to start test
- Steering group meeting 2 – Status report
- Steering group meeting 3 – Status report
- Steering group meeting x – Status report
- Steering group meeting (last) – Decision to end test
Other meetings
Meetings for coordination with, for example, other actors are held when necessary.
