Data that gives the opportunity to look ahead
How can care with the help of data move from looking back to looking forward - and discover individual risks before they occur? In this week's TechTalk, Markus Lingman, chief physician and AI Swede of the year, talks about precision health.
How we use data and information in healthcare will play a decisive role in safer and more efficient care. It requires new ways of working and more collaboration.
By using the latest technology, including AI, we can gain new insights into how healthcare can evolve. This enables us to meet the major challenges that we see in healthcare today. It is, among other things, about individualizing and tailoring efforts, both for the individual patient's best interests and for the resources to be sufficient.
It also means that we are moving from descriptive to predictive medicine. Instead of looking at historical data, we need data that predicts what will happen, where AI can help us see patterns and look ahead.
