Forest, innovation and digitalisation
That forests are an important resource in Värmland does not need to be argued about, but how do forests go together with innovation and digitization? Perhaps we will find the next big innovation via the competition What wood you do? This week we have a visit from Paper Province and The Wood Region.
Sprung from Värmland's forest and machinery industry is Paper Province a world-leading bioeconomy cluster. Paul Nemes, vice president, talks about the work to enable the transition to a fossil-free society with the help of the forest.
Carina Welin, communicator, continues about the role of digital processes in the transition, and how Paper Province works to combine innovation and digitization with the forest - a chance for you to contribute.
With a focus on material and technology development, the test bed was started The Wood Region in Sysslebäck, Värmland. Here, prototypes are 3D-printed in biomaterials. We get an insight into the business itself, guided by industrial designer Alexsander Nordvall.

TechTalk Värmland focuses on how we as people, companies and organizations are affected by the ongoing digitization. The purpose of the meetings is to learn from each other, be inspired and develop.
If you want, you can bring your own lunch box and heat it in the Coffice or pick up food from the Nova restaurant on the ground floor. We offer coffee on site. The location is at Compare at Karlstad Innovation Park unless otherwise stated.
